Shopping and Pricing

Support Private Fares Pricing per GDS OfficeID: Enables Airlines private fares distribution based on the Agency Office Id.

How it works:

PROS now supports the ability to accept GDS Office ID and transform it to a PCC or Department Code for private fares access and validation. Each travel agency has its own GDS Office ID, which can be directly sent to the airline’s NDC layer when the GDS is acting as an NDC aggregator. By receiving the OfficeID element, the PROS system deconstructs it to identify whether a PCC or Department code is sent, as well as the Sale City they are valid for. Airline is now supported with the option to provide the Office ID upon offer creation request to PROS.

This simplifies integration between GDS aggregators and Airline’s NDC channels, relieving airlines from the complex development process needed to identify PCC/Department codes per each Agency Office ID.

If there are more than 8 symbols, then the Office ID is broken down to identify whether PCC or Department code is sent, as well as the Sale City they are valid for.

Branded Fares Combination: Provide capability to combine different ATPCo Brands per bound

Airlines can now combine different ATPCo brands per bound, enabling them to offer solutions with a combination of fares used to price a travel bound where each fare belongs to a different fare brand. This feature pre-defines specific markets for which certain brands can be combined with others, allowing more flexible and appealing travel options for passengers.

How it Works:

  1. Pre-configure your market:

Re-Shopping and Re-Pricing

Categories 31 and 33 System Assumption change

ATPCo System Assumption: Default set of rules that apply unless they are superseded by specific rules valid for a specific fare.

Starting June 30, 2024, if Categories 31 and 33 data is not coded or there are no provisions applicable to a specific fare, the system assumption will be that a change or refund is permitted at no charge and with no restrictions for that fare. This aligns with the industry’s goal of achieving fully automated servicing of tickets and reducing the number of debit memos due to manual calculations.

  • The change/refund is requested on/after that date.
  • The ticket is issued on/after that date.
  • No coded data/no applicable data: The new system assumption applies, so changes and refunds are permitted with no fee.
  • There is coded data for Cat 31 and 33, but not matched for the specific fare. The new system assumption applies, so changes and refunds are permitted with no fee.
  • There is coded data for Cat 31 and 33 and it is matched for the specific fare. System assumption is not applicable. Any changes or refunds are processed following the rules for the fare.

Ancillary and Merchandising:

The ancillary Catalog Import/ Export empowers users to optimize operations and make strategic decisions with ease. It allows the import and export of Non-ATPCO services and conditions in CSV format, enabling quick and flexible pricing adjustments.  This capability facilitates general ancillary management and speeds up sales campaigns setup. It also reduces implementation time, accelerating customer onboarding. Offer and Order management

The Offer Details Retrieval Service provides access to offer details, facilitating an end-to-end offer-to-order flow when Offer and Order Management systems come from different providers. This service ensures smooth conversion from offer to order, maintaining offer integrity and accuracy throughout the process. It supports JSON API and will align with the IATA NDC standard for Offer-to-Order communication once published.

Converting Offer into Order:

Offer & Order capabilities are contained in different systems: When different systems are providing the Offer and Order Management capabilities, the Order Management system needs access to offer details to create and change orders. If the Order Management system doesn't have access to the Offer repository, it must get the offer details from the Offer Management when a Seller sends an order create request.

Offer Retrieve is a new service in the PROS Offer Management product portfolio designed to meet the needs of external Order Management solutions by providing access to the details of specific offers. This service enables access to offers created during Air Shopping and Offer Price processes. Authorized external Order Management systems can request offer details to facilitate order flow. Offer Retrieve uses a JSON API, and once the IATA NDC standard for Offer to Order communication is published, the service will support that protocol. Offer details include all data elements necessary for fulfillment and servicing by Order Management, including dynamically priced offers.

Request/Response
